In the late 90s in NYC I created several large-scale, site-specific performances and installations under the title of J Mandle Performance, an organisation that I founded and ran with the help of countless talented individuals and supportive board members and advisors. It was a labour of love, passion and devotion. We were able to create and show projects at inspiring venues such as the New Museum of Contemporary Art, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, The Highline, Storefront for Art & Architecture, Van Allen Institute and The Old American Can Factory. We appreciated critical financial support from major organisations such as the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), New York Foundation for the Arts, and Department of Cultural Affairs.
